USA - 2010 - Mother Teresa Birth Cent Stamps on Cover.

United States Postal Service issued a commemorative Postage stamps on 5th September on Birth Centenary of Nobel Laurete Mother Teresa. United States joined s select few countries to have included Mother Teresa in their Stamp issue programme in 2010.

India Post did not find it fit to take the initiative and a issue a Commemorative Stamp on Mother Teresa on her Birth Centnary Year. It is India where the Mother spent majority of her life working for the downtrodden and destitutes. When one look at the stamp issue programme of India Post for 2010, it is full of lesser known personalites, particularly from one part of India but the authorities chose not to issue a commemorative stamp on Mother Teresa. Hats off to India Post and also Philatelic Advisory Cimmittee.

Philippines Post Corporation issued a set of 4 stamps 2009 on occasion of National Stamp Collecting Month. The Philippines Postal authorities must be thanked for promoting Philately and bringing out stamps in the Month of November dedicated as Stamp Collecting Month in Philippines.

CANADA - 2010 - Cover with Souvenir Sheet on TIGER.

Canada Post issued a Souvenir Sheet to mark Lunar Year of Tiger this year. The cover shows the S/S. Tiger, being highly endangered should be protected at any cost.

Indonesia - 2010 - Cover with stamp set on Traditional Foods.

Indonesia Post issued a set of stamps on its Traditional Foods. The cover shows the stamp set. hmmmmmm some mouth watering dishes indeed. I thank my dear friend Helena for sending out this wonderful cover.
